A Van Delivery Executive/Driver is responsible for transporting goods safely and on time from the warehouse to customer locations, retail shops, or distribution centers. The role ensures timely delivery, handling of goods, maintaining delivery records, and providing good customer service during handover.


🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods to assigned destinations.

  • Load and unload items, ensuring safe handling of packages.

  • Verify and maintain accurate delivery documents (invoices, receipts, POD – Proof of Delivery).

  • Follow delivery routes and time schedules.

  • Communicate effectively with dispatch teams for updates or issues.

  • Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the van.

  • Ensure all safety and traffic regulations are followed.

  • Provide polite and professional customer interaction at the delivery point.


🛠️ Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Valid driving license (LMV/Commercial, depending on company policy).

  • Basic knowledge of traffic rules and road safety.

  • Ability to read maps, GPS, or follow navigation systems.

  • Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading of goods.

  • Good communication and customer service skills.
