Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  1. Testing & Analysis

    • Perform chemical, instrumental, and microbiological analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.

    • Operate instruments like HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, Dissolution Apparatus, etc.

    • Conduct stability studies as per ICH guidelines.

  2. Sampling & Documentation

    • Collect samples of raw materials, packaging materials, bulk & finished goods.

    • Maintain test records, logbooks, and analytical reports in compliance with GMP & GDP.

    • Review and approve analytical reports.

  3. Regulatory Compliance

    • Ensure testing procedures follow pharmacopeia standards (USP, BP, IP, EP).

    • Follow cGMP, GLP, and regulatory requirements (USFDA, WHO, MHRA, EU).

  4. Quality Systems

    • Handle OOS (Out of Specification), OOT (Out of Trend), deviations, and lab investigations.

    • Maintain reference standards, working standards, and laboratory reagents.

    • Participate in audits and ensure audit readiness.

  5. Calibration & Maintenance

    • Calibrate laboratory instruments and maintain calibration records.

    • Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate maintenance.

  6. Training & Teamwork

    • Train junior analysts on test methods, SOPs, and GMP practices.

    • Coordinate with QA, Production, and R&D for smooth operations.
