Pre-Operative Preparation:
Prepare the operation theatre with sterile instruments, drapes, and equipment.
Ensure all surgical instruments are sterilized and ready for use.
Assist in positioning patients on the operating table.
Intra-Operative Support:
Assist surgeons and nurses by handing over instruments and supplies during surgery.
Monitor equipment and surgical instruments to ensure proper functioning.
Maintain a sterile environment to prevent infection.
Post-Operative Duties:
Clean and sterilize instruments and the operation theatre after surgery.
Dispose of biohazard materials following hospital protocols.
Maintain records of surgeries, instruments used, and equipment maintenance.
Equipment Maintenance:
Inspect surgical instruments and OT equipment for defects or wear.
Report issues to supervisors for timely repairs or replacements.
Collaboration:
Work closely with surgeons, nurses, anesthetists, and other hospital staff.
Assist in training junior OT technicians or interns.
