Project Planning & Execution
Plan and execute fiber rollout projects within defined budgets and timelines.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams for trenching, ducting, and fiber laying.
Conduct feasibility surveys and route planning for new fiber deployments.
Ensure compliance with local regulations and secure Right-of-Way (RoW) permissions.
Network Deployment
Oversee fiber laying, splicing, termination, and link testing.
Ensure adherence to Airtel’s quality and safety standards.
Monitor progress through project management tools and daily reports.
Coordinate fiber connectivity for new sites (mobile towers, enterprise customers, broadband hubs).
Maintenance & Quality Assurance
Perform network acceptance tests (OTDR, power meter, loss measurement).
Manage fiber route maintenance, restoration, and fault repair activities.
Maintain accurate as-built documentation, route maps, and test reports.
Vendor & Team Management
Supervise contractors and field engineers for on-ground fiber work.
Evaluate vendor performance and ensure adherence to SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
Liaise with government/local authorities for RoW, road cutting, and reinstatement permissions.
Reporting & Coordination
Provide daily/weekly project updates to regional managers.
Track fiber utilization, capacity, and project completion status.
Work closely with network operations, transmission, and business teams for new rollouts.
