Job Description

Strategic Leadership

Develop and implement category strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and market share targets.

Drive long-term planning and growth initiatives for multiple categories.

Team Management

Lead and mentor a team of Category Managers and Analysts, ensuring high performance.

Support talent development and succession planning within the function.

Category & Assortment Planning

Oversee product assortment, pricing, and promotions across categories.

Optimize inventory and stock levels to meet demand forecasts and minimize wastage.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

Negotiate with key suppliers and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and timely product availability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance.

Performance Monitoring

Track category KPIs including sales, margin, inventory turnover, and promotion effectiveness.

Use analytics to identify growth opportunities, risks, and corrective actions.
