Job Description

🏭 1. Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations in a defined area of the warehouse or logistics chain.

  • Ensure that all orders are picked, packed, and shipped efficiently and accurately.

  • Monitor process health metrics such as productivity, safety, quality, and cost.

  • Coordinate with support teams (HR, Finance, Engineering) to resolve issues.


👥 2. People Management

  • Lead a team of Team Leaders, Process Assistants, and Associates (50–200 employees).

  • Manage attendance, shift schedules, and resource planning.

  • Conduct training sessions, performance reviews, and career development programs.

  • Foster a culture of safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement.


📈 3. Process Improvement & Data Analysis

  • Use data analytics to identify process bottlenecks and implement improvement initiatives.

  • Participate in Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, and Lean optimization efforts.

  • Track metrics such as Units per Hour (UPH), Defect Rates, and On-Time Delivery (OTD).


🧠 4. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure adherence to Amazon’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Conduct safety audits, incident investigations, and preventive measures.

  • Drive compliance with labour laws and company policies.


🤝 5. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with transportation, HR, inventory control, and tech teams.

  • Support peak operations during Prime Day, Great Indian Festival, etc.

  • Partner with central planning and capacity management teams.
