Test Strategy & Planning
Develop, review, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Identify test requirements and ensure adequate test coverage for each product release.
Participate in requirement and design review meetings to define quality objectives.
Functional & Regression Testing
Conduct manual and automated testing of AppScan’s web and API modules.
Validate product features against business and technical specifications.
Perform smoke, sanity, regression, and end-to-end testing.
Automation Framework Development
Design and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or RestAssured.
Automate repetitive functional and integration test cases for efficiency.
Integrate automation scripts within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
API & Microservices Testing
Test REST APIs for functionality, security, and performance.
Validate data integrity between front-end and backend services.
Work with Spring Boot / Java-based microservices integration points.
Security Testing (Core to AppScan)
Validate vulnerability detection results of AppScan.
Perform verification of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities like XSS, SQL Injection, etc.
Support developers in reproducing and resolving security issues.
Defect Reporting & Tracking
Log, track, and prioritize defects using JIRA or similar systems.
Collaborate with development teams to reproduce and fix bugs quickly.
Ensure defect closure with complete test verification.
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to process improvement in QA methodologies and automation practices.
Mentor junior QA engineers and conduct peer code reviews for test automation scripts.
Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and release validation.
