Test Planning & Design
Analyze product requirements and design detailed test cases.
Develop test strategies for both manual and automated testing.
Identify and prioritize test scenarios for functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
Test Execution
Perform manual testing for new features and bug fixes.
Execute and maintain automated test scripts for regression suites.
Log and track defects using tools like JIRA or similar systems.
Conduct smoke, sanity, integration, and system testing cycles.
Automation Development
Create, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks (Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or equivalent).
Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Collaboration & Documentation
Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Owners, and DevOps engineers to resolve defects and validate fixes.
Document test results, coverage, and process improvements.
Participate in agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
Quality & Security Focus
Perform security and performance validation as relevant to AppScan features.
Ensure QA standards align with HCL’s Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
Continuously improve test coverage and reliability metrics.
